Do something great ...

I've been thinking about some of the things that have held me back over the years and I've come to realise that often times, what is needed is the ability to believe in oneself.

I know what it feels like to have big ideas but be paralysed by fear of the unknown. Fear of rejection, of not being good enough, of being too good, of failing, of succeeding, of not making an impact, and so the list goes.

On this growth/transformation journey, I've become acutely aware that all fear does is steal from me, it steals precious time, ideas, energy and life.

Sometimes and I dare say most times, on the road to greatness or significance, what is required is the decision to do something great and significant and then do it. However, what that looks like for me may not be the same for you, all that matters is that you take the first step.

My encouragement for you today is to dare to let go of what is holding back and reach out for your dreams, especially in those moments when you feel afraid. A good friend of mine said something to me years ago that really resonated and helps me even to this day. It's actually the title of a book by Susan Jeffers which most of you may have heard, "feel the fear and do it anyway".
For me, it is a daily process of acknowledging what I'm afraid of but stepping out in spite it and you can do the same.

Reflections from "As a man thinketh" by James Allen

"As a being of intelligence, power and love, and the lord of his own thoughts, man holds the key to every situation, and contains within himself that transforming and regenerative agency by which he may make himself what he wills." Awareness: I hold the key to the change I desire, I must learn to look inwards and begin to work this principle in my life.

Reflections from "As a man thinketh" by James Allen

We are victims of circumstances only so long as we consider ourselves pawns of fate, tossed here and there by outside forces. But if you realise your creative power - if you assume responsibility for the seeds and soil of your inner garden - then you become the master of your fate' James Allen Awareness - As long as I continue to think of myself as the victim of circumstance, nothing will change. Take Action/Change - As master of my fate, I will no longer have a victim mentality but turn it around by working on the inner garden of my mind/thoughts
