Effect of thought in circumstances
Allen says that "just as a gardener weeds, waters, and cares for his or her plot, we must cultivate our minds—weeding out negative, mistaken, useless thoughts, while encouraging positive, true, fruitful thoughts".

I find this to be a very profound statement as it pushes one to actively pick up and take full responsibility for thoughts in the mind and shows that it is for man himself, not another, to cultivate the soil of the mind.

Awareness: It is my responsibility to tend my thoughts to see the type of fruits I want. I can’t leave it to chance or else I risk a harvest of weeds.
